We hope you can join us for this exciting two-day event. All meals and transportation within sites are provided at no cost. Overnight accommodations are also available for no charge. For those staying overnight Friday to Saturday, breakfast will be provided as well. We’re able to offer this event thanks to a generous grant from the National Catholic Sisters Week organization, funded through the Conrad N. Hilton Foundation. Friday, March 8, 2019
8:30-9:30 a.m. Mass at St. Luke Parish with Sister Mary Alyce Koval and Ursuline Associate Linda McClure. We’ll also visit with parishioners at this unique church where our Sister is the Parish Leader.
10-11:15 a.m. Visit /Tour of Ursuline Sisters HIV/AIDS Ministry facilities Merici Housing and Casa Madre, the site for our children’s program, with Ministry Director Dan Wakefield. Dan will tell us how the teachings of our founder, St. Angela Merici (1535), directly speak to the many facets of the work
we do today to help those infected or affected by HIV.
11:30-12:30 p.m. Visit to Beatitude House with Sister Patricia McNicholas, co-director. This ministry has helped thousands of people locally break the cycle of generational poverty. It offers housing, education and life skills aide to disadvantaged women and their children; it offers tutoring programs for immigrant mothers and their children, and offers Ursuline Sisters Scholars – a program to help first generation disadvantaged young adults complete a post-high school program, be it a skilled trade or earning a college degree.
12:45-1:45 p.m. Lunch at Mill Creek Metropark’s Davis Center
2-2:30pm Visit to Ursuline Preschool & Kindergarten with Director and Principal Maryann Critell. Mary Ann will tell us how all the programs here help put youngsters on the path to success, and how St. Angela’s wisdom guides the school’s success.
3-5 p.m. Visit at Ursuline Motherhouse with Brigid Kennedy, President of Ursuline Ministries. Brigid will share about her pilgrimage to Italy and walking the very path St. Angela did.

7-8 p.m. Night Prayer with Ursuline Sisters in the Motherhouse Chapel

9 a.m. Morning Prayer / Adoration / Reflection, Motherhouse Chapel
11 a.m. Sister Erin Zubal, Ursuline Sister of Cleveland, will talk about her ministry with NETWORK, a lobbying group for Catholic Social Justice, based in Washington, D.C.
12 p.m. Lunch at the Motherhouse
1 p.m. St. Angela Merici Charism at Ursuline High School. Dr. Linda Miller and Lisa Devlin will tell us how students, faculty and staff at this school founded by our Sisters in 1905 continues to share the mission and ministry of St. Angela with the world through its academics and extra-curricular service projects.
2 -4 p.m. Creating Mandalas: Prayer as Art! Sister Bridget Nolan, Healthcare Solarium
4:30 p.m. Mass in the Motherhouse Chapel
5:30 p.m. Dinner at Motherhouse
6:30 p.m. Optional evening entertainment: Handel’s ice cream and games with Ursuline Sisters of Youngstown
